Each registered member on the database completes a detailed profile that consists of professional qualifications, employment experience, and working rights/ eligibility information. Online community for Healthcare & Medical Professionals

HealthcareLink is the largest online network for primary healthcare and medical professionals in Australia with a member base of over 100,000. This project was initiated to build an online community portal where Primary Healthcare Professionals (mainly General Practitioners), create a profile detailing their qualifications, employment experiences, specialties, and then proceed to connect with opportunities in Australia related to job prospects, related professional courses and events, other useful industry news and content to grow their career.

Creating A Professional Profile

When joining the community, the Professional member is encouraged to create and complete their Professional Profile which outlines their education, experiences, specialities, interests, qualifications, residency status and more. The detailed professional information provided, builds a digital resume which is then utilise by the platform to automatically match the right profile to the right posts, jobs, courses, events and resources.

Finding Businesses or Providers

The platform is equipped with a Business Board and Provider Board with a search tool that allows members to look for specific businesses within a specific sector vertical and view their profiles, jobs, courses, events, products or services.

Finding Professionals

The platform is equipped with a Professional Search Tool that allows members to look for professionals within a specific sector vertical and to view their profiles.

Connecting With Professionals

Members within the community are able to follow, connect with and message other members within the community, allowing them to reach out and contact other professionals with similar interests and values.

Creating A Business or Provider Profile

Whether a community member is looking to advertise job vacancies, promote their course/event, or simply wants to promote their business online within a specific sector, they have the ability to create a Business or Provider profile that showcases their company. This profile, much like the Professional Profile, has many matching parameters, which if filled out, will automatically match the Business or Provider Profile to the most relevant Professional Profiles on the Dashboard/Newsfeed. Members also have the option to choose a promotional option that highlights and bumps up their Business or Provider profiles to be shown across the platform.

Connecting With Business or Provider Profiles

The members within the community have the ability to follow, connect with and message businesses directly in order to discuss employment opportunities, courses and events or services and products, or to simply keep up to date with the company’s most recent updates.

Creating Jobs

Finding Jobs

The platform is equipped with a Job Board that has a search tool that allows for members in the community to look for all types of jobs across Australia. Otherwise, given that they have completed their profiles to the required level and opted-in, job seekers will automatically be sent the best-matched jobs via email, as well as being shown the best-matched jobs on their Dashboard/Newsfeed.

Creating CPD Courses & Events

Members looking to attract CPD course and event attendees have multiple options when promoting, from CPD Posts, EDMs to Banner Ads. They have the ability to set multiple matching-criteria so that the course or event is automatically matched to the best professionals across the platform.

Finding CPD Courses & Events

The platform is equipped with a CPD Courses & Events Board with a search tool that allows for members to look for the latest CPD Courses & Events from CPD providers across Australia, whether they are face-to-face events or online courses.

Creating Resources

Members have the ability to create, post and share articles across multiple categories such as Industry News, Opinions and Career Resources. These articles have tags which allow for the platform to match and push the articles to the most relevant reader.

Find Resources

The platform is equipped with a Resources Portal that houses articles including Industry News, Opinions and Career Resources. The search tool allows members in the community to seek out specific topics and categories. Members with a Professional Profiles will be sent the best-matched articles via a monthly newsletter, as well as being shown the best- matched articles in the Resources Portal Homepage and on their Dashboard/Newsfeed.

Creating A Shared Post

Within their Professional Dashboard/Newsfeed, members have the ability to share a post, including images, videos, news or text. These posts receive likes, comments and replies keeping the community engaged.

Uploading Documents

Professionals have access to a file upload system that houses all of their compliance, educational, qualification documents in one easy to access portal. This allows professionals to easily share documents with any prospective employers on the platform as well as providing a personal digital file.

This product is currently integrated to the organisations CRM, accounting software XERO and many others as required. The process of integrating the online community to other digital products was seamless due to the platform’s API and streamlined backend processes that can easily handle large volumes of users/members.

Members that use the online community have a very smooth, detailed and engaging experience as the platform is very user friendly and comprehensive as outlined above with the different types of activities the members can undertake. It does not matter the type of user, the platform covers every need of the online community when it comes to the healthcare and medical industry in Australia. The platform is a tool which allows for, and promotes, the engagements between not only the members, but between the organisation and the members as well. With consistent messaging, content, resources and even jobs from the organisation itself, the members are continually engaged and continually fed the organisation’s specific brand and marketing to further their relationship as the leader in that specific niche. 

The platform provides a simple back-end admin panel with a very intuitive and easy to understand visual format that new staff users will be able to comprehend and utilise right away. 

The staff are able to control all aspects of the platform (other than the core code and software necessary for the platform to operate) that allows them access to all features, and approval processes as well as a general statistical overview of the engagement across the platform. All posts, profiles, accounts, content, products, coupons, SEO, newsletters, email automation and more can be easily updated via this admin panel that can be accessed online from any device with an internet connection and a browser via a specified URL.

The database of members were migrated over from Newly to the new platform. Every member was sent an activation email that gave them the option to opt out of becoming a member of the community. This was a very seamless and simple process of integrating the database into the platform.

We take community support very seriously. Without the ability to help those in need, the community would not remain as strong. As such, we have integrated several third-party help engines by Zendesk and Intercom to house all the relevant help articles as well as help chatbots that can be utilized by the team to help with queries on the spot. We also operate a phone support service that is available during business hours that provides a more comprehensive support system.

The online community, being a comprehensive all-in-one platform for job seekers and businesses, fosters its own interest and participation, simply because there is nothing like it out there in the market. On top of this, members being continually auto-matched with jobs, CPD courses, events, and careers resources and then being prompted with email and platform notifications about these matches allows for the continual re-engagement of the online community over an extended period. Furthermore, the platform’s social tools of the article writer, shared posts, likes, and comments, as well as the ability to connect to other professionals, businesses and providers directly, is a key element in allowing for freedom of expression and engagement across the platform

A general overview of statistics is available within the admin panel that covers the number of: Member Accounts, Member Profiles, Job Posts (broken down into types, drafted, approved etc.), Confirmed Orders, Online Users and Returning Users. That being said, in terms of capturing user data, almost all aspects of the platform’s user data is currently being captured, so the necessary reporting can easily be built out within the admin panel according to the needs of the College.
